I appropriated newspaper pages from 80s and 90s that covered various events in modern Korean history. With news-article-photography collaged on paper, I draw pencil lines and painted dots using sumi ink on mulberry paper to repeat the newspaper layout. The multiple random dots and its spreading suggest how I sentimentally perceived the visual of mass media in my childhood when in the developing country.
